The Sadako Peace Club is No Longer Active

The Sadako Peace Club was formed by Michiko I. Pumpian for children who were interested in promoting world peace through a grassroots movement among all nations of the world.

Our feeling is that we can really help each other and get to know each other from different cultures and different parts of the world. When our children grow up, they will avoid fighting and wars because they'll understand each other better. They can use their energies in a positive direction instead of fighting or discriminating against each other. This is important to the future of our children and their world.

Members helped by introducing the Sadako Story, singing the Sadako Song, and teaching others how to fold paper cranes in their communities. They also used to send all of the paper cranes to the Sadako Statue in Hiroshima in August every year.
We also have a Sadako Home Page on the World Wide Web.
